In practice
Written by AI from this repository’s README · medium confidenceVulnerabilities, misconfigurations, and secrets usually need separate scanners with separate output formats.
Use it when
When one scanner should cover CVEs, IaC misconfigurations, secrets, licenses, and SBOM across several targets.
Not the right pick when
Avoid the canary builds in production, and the README points to the commercial Aqua platform for broader security management.
Capabilities
- scans container images, filesystems, remote git repos, VM images and Kubernetes
- finds known vulnerabilities (CVEs)
- detects IaC issues and misconfigurations
- finds sensitive information and secrets
- reports OS packages and dependencies as SBOM
- GitHub Actions, Kubernetes operator and VS Code integrations
Cost: Free and open source
